Or an Audi S8.

I'd say something like the 335 over a bigger car. If you don't need to cart around other people, small is good. More tossable, and usually cheaper so more money for options/upgrades.

The Jag XE.

Too rich for my wallet, but I'd like something like that.

Do you like comfort and practicality or do you prefer sportiness and higher build quality? The 508 is a great car, but it's not sporty. For a main stream sedan (or wagon, as I would buy it) in its class it's a great car, I'd probably prefer it over most to all of the competition.

If you're going used how about crossing the Channel.

It could go either way for me, the only problems I have with the C5 is that tiny engine for a car that size and the build quality. I wanted something a bit nippier as my next DD.

Am considering that, they are way less expensive than I first thought.

The c5 has a tiny engine? I've only ever driven one which had the 2 litre diesel and I never noticed any lack of go.

That I4 lacks oomph, the C5 isn't a small car...

Have you driven one? It's got a lot more go than the petrol ones.

Oh I didn't read the diesel bit. No, we don't have diesel cars here, just SUVs and trucks.

Why not both, german and large? They have depreciated to a very interesting price...

The 508, now that it has been facelifted looks better than before. I don't know if you get them where you live, but the 508 GT could be a nice replacement. It comes with the 200hp 1.6 THP engine.

Kinja'd!!!

Or, if you get them, but I don't think so since it has a diesel in it, a nice RXH. 200hp too, but it's an hybrid, the electric engine powering the rear wheels.

Kinja'd!!!

The pre-facelift 508 sedan also had the hybrid4 pwoertrain.

The exterior is gorgeous, almost back to the old Pininfarina Peugeot 406's (Ok, not that good...but still...) but the interior is really quite bland...nice, but bland...
